Black women are often celebrated for our strength, resilience and determination, yet we are seldom encouraged to prioritize our wellness. In our pursuit of excellence, we are often overworked, underpaid and exhausted- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. In this workshop, designed exclusively for Black women, Ms. Smith will engage participants in a discussion on topics in her book, I Can Rest and Be Excellent.

Anti-Blackness, whether overt or subtle, is not only a persistent force in our society, it is racism embedded in our culture. This five-part learning series explores the barriers to our collective liberation and abundance and offers space to reimagine and reclaim the freedom, resources and joy essential to Black thriving. In this learning series, we will journey together towards liberation, abundance and collective empowerment with deep dialogue and guided reflective exercise. Each session is a thoughtful exploration of a different facet of collective Black liberation and abundance. This learning series centers the Black experience while welcoming attendees from diverse backgrounds.
