This book, for educators and parents, discusses the benefits and importance of Black youth engaging in STEM Research and provides strategies for engaging in STEM Research. After ten-plus years of experience helping prepare high school students for STEM Fairs through her non-profit organization Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link) Experimental Design Program, Ms. Tokiwa Smith developed the curriculum in this book. This book aims to teach high school students the skills needed to prepare for a STEM Research competition applying the same strategies and procedures that research scientists utilize to prepare for presentations at professional STEM conferences.
